2014 Achebe Colloquium: African Literature as Restoration, Chinua Achebe as Teacher

Founded by the late Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe, the David and Marianna Fisher University Professor emeritus at Brown University, the Achebe Colloquium annually brings together an international group of scholars, officials from African governments, the United Nations, North America, the European Union, and other organizations for several days of intense deliberation and exchange of ideas on the importance of Art, Literature and Culture; and the need to strengthen democracy and peace on the African continent.
