Her book, Five Days at Memorial, a true story detailing medical decisions in the desperate days following Hurricane Katrina, was a New York Times best seller and winner of multiple prestigious awards. Dr. Fink’s writings communicate ethical themes that physicians face, their resourcefulness and resiliency as well as the humanitarian role they assume on the national and international stage.
