Speaker: Leila Aboulela is an award-winning Sudanese-Egyptian writer. She is the author of four novels, a collection of short stories and several radio plays. Her work has been awarded the Caine Prize for African Writing and the Scottish Book Award for Fiction, has also been long-listed for the Orange Prize and shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize and the MacMillan Silver PEN award. Her work has been translated into 14 languages.
