Meshell Ndegeocello Puts James Baldwin On Stage

Meshell Ndegeocello’s “Can I Get A Witness? The Gospel of James Baldwin” is an almost indefinable work of music theater, inspired by Baldwin's “The Fire Next Time,” an incisive polemic about race in America published in 1963.  “Can I Get A Witness?" is produced by Harlem Stage, where it runs through to December 6.
